People urged to see pharmacist instead of doctor

If you're displaying cold or flu like symptoms this winter don't bother your GP.

That's the message from the Island's public health directorate after similar calls by the UK's Department of Health.

Pharmacists are on hand to offer advice and expertise - taking this approach will significantly reduce the burden on surgeries throughout the busy winter months.

Director of public health Dr Kishore has this message to those suffering:
