The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture decided to introduce the new system in an effort to improve the control of camping at the site.

From today onwards you will need a permit in order to camp overnight at the Sulby Claddagh.

The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture decided to introduce the new system in an effort to improve the control of camping at the site.

Last summer saw a number of residents living near to the campsite complaining about noise and general disorder.

Overnight camping with a permit will be allowed between today and the 30th September plus Easter Weekend, with a maximum permitted stay per visit of up to 14 nights.

Campers are encouraged to plan ahead and obtain a permit well in advance of their visit, as permits will not normally be issued on site.
