An online petition against the introduction of 20mph speed limits has attracted more than 1,600 signatures - as Douglas and Onchan prepare to change in the next few weeks.
Both will be getting the lower limits on all roads except primary routes, including the promenade - at the weekend a number of local authorities published maps on Facebook showing the proposals for their areas.
Last week, the petition started by Lee Smith said the changes would lead to more traffic congestion and greenhouse gas emissions from vehicles.
