More than 2,700 people have signed an online petition against plans to make the Island's towns and villages 20mph zones.
The Department of Infrastructure has carried out work in Port St Mary, and says Douglas and Onchan will be next - with a consultation closing today.
But the petition, set up when the public first learned of the plans earlier this month, had reached 2,733 people this morning.
It says the plans would bring more traffic congestion to the Island's roads and increase carbon emissions.
