    Plans for Castletown flood defences shown to public

    Residents in Castletown have had the opportunity to view new flood defences for the town.

    A public meeting was held last week so people could speak to staff from the Department of Infrastructure, engineers and representatives from flood management.  
     
    Over the past five years Castletown has experienced flood surges during storms and high tides with properties being flooded.
     
    Minister Phil Gawne says over the past few years they've been working with coastal flooding experts to arrange plans for the ports in case of bad weather:
