Manx National Heritage has applied for permission to carry out repair work at one of the Island's best-known landmarks.
It's applied for planning permission and registered building consent to do work at Castle Rushen in Castletown.
In its application, it says it wants to repair the clock tower's roof, and replace gutters and leadwork.
It adds the current belfry tower roof is showing weathering, cracking and water absorption.
