Pokerstars purchase Douglas Bay Complex headquarters

Pokerstars have announced today that they have now officially purchased the Douglas Bay Complex in Onchan, which has served as their headquarters since 2005.

It's seen as a major commitment to the Isle of Man, with Chief Minister Allan Bell branding them a welcome civic and community leader as well as an important employer.

The building is a well known Onchan landmark and sits on the site of the former Douglas Bay Hotel, destroyed by fire in 1988.

Pokerstars now occupies 20,000 square feet of the building, employing more than 200 people on the Island.
