Police issue TWOC advice following Sulby incident

Police are advising people how to stop cars from being taken without the owner's consent.

It follows an incident on Monday evening in Sulby, when two young people were arrested for doing just that.

Otherwise known as a TWOC offence, the Roads Policing Unit say to help prevent further TWOCs, lock vehicles, don't leave keys in them and to ensure keys are safely away from young people and children.

They added that children taking vehicles and driving around the Island with little or no experience is extremely dangerous and seems to be an emerging trend on various media platforms.
