    Police praise peaceful protests

Police say they've been working hard to make sure people's rights to peacefully protest are upheld.

On Facebook, the Constabulary says it's been enforcing the Human Rights Act, which lets people demonstrate lawfully.

It's reminding people you can't block a protest, and is warning causing criminal damage to banners or assaulting protestors will be dealt with.

However, officers have thanked the public for keeping protests peaceful - in recent weeks UK anti-abortion group Abort67 has sparked anger over graphic banners it's displayed in Douglas.
