Police reinforce message following second sheep attack in week

Earlier in the week it was reported how a pregnant ewe and her two unborn lambs had been killed following a dog attack; there has since been a further similar incident reported.

 

Police ask dog walkers to keep their animals on a lead when walking in the countryside, or find alternative places such as glens or beaches to exercise them.

 

They are also reminded that farmers are within their rights to shoot any animal posing a threat to their livestock.
