The police has warned there will be extra speed enforcement officers in the South of the Island over the coming weeks.
A road closure past the Southern Civic Amenity Site has meant that there is significantly more traffic on Beach Road and on Mount Gawne Road in Rushen.
The Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team says these are roads where people live and are not suited to the volume and speed that they are experiencing.
It also says nobody wants three points on their license and £120 fine, so asks drivers to keep speeds down.
