The Isle of Man Post Office says it's 'disappointed' Communication Workers Union (CWU) members have voted in favour of strike action.
It's members voted in a ballot yesterday, with 93 per cent in favour of it in relation to proposed changes to pay and conditions - they will walk out on December 13 and 14.
Chair of the Islands postal service, Julie Edge, is moving to reassure customers that a robust contingency plan will come into effect to minimise disruption.
She added the organisation values the work of it's workers and it's in everyone's best interests to conclude negotiations and hopefully reach an agreement.
IOMPO says it's open to further talks with CWU at any time.
