Police have praised two young boys for their 'honesty and integrity' after they helped reunite a local woman with her purse.
The elderly lady, who's been described by officers as 'vulnerable', left it on a bench in Regent Street in Douglas on December 12th.
The duo spotted it and after being unable to locate the owner took the item and its contents - said to be a 'substantial' amount of money - to Police Headquarters.
Following enquiries the purse was returned to the woman - officers described it as a 'happy ending just in time for Christmas'.
