A prize hen has died at St Marks Country Park after being attacked by a dog.
The venue says the hen - which they say is one of a kind - died after being attacked by a canine which was brought into the park by a member of the public.
The park operates a 'no dogs allowed' policy, and in a post on social media adds the reason why such rules are in place is to protect the wildlife and animals.
As a result, the team there is reminding people dogs are not allowed there unless they're assistance dogs and owners should keep their pets under control in the countryside at all times.
