Public asked for thoughts on new economic strategy

Government is asking for views on the future direction of the Island's economy.

An 'extensive' consultation has been launched on the Draft Economic Strategy, which was published earlier this year.

Its aims include growing the Island's population to 100,000 by 2037 and generating over £200m of additional annual income to reinvest in services.

Treasury minister Dr Alex Allinson says the consultation gives people the chance to comment on a broad range of areas, such as improving the Island's attractiveness and sustainability initiatives.

The consultation is open until September 30 - you can find it here.
