Public Health issues advice on rabies

Public Health Isle of Man is warning those travelling to plan ahead.

It says people should avoid coming into contact with animals when visiting areas affected by rabies.

It comes following Public Health England publishing a warning to travellers urging them to do the same.

The Manx authorities says those planning a trip should speak to their GP or a nurse six weeks before travelling to discuss recommended vaccinations.

It comes after the death of a British man in Morocco after he was bitten by a cat there.
