Public urged to keep on top of passport validity

Members of the public are being urged to check the validity of their passports before travelling abroad.

The warning comes as the Passport Office approach their busiest time of the year.

Processing is currently taking up to five weeks, so you're urged to have your documentation in order well in advance of any planned journeys.

First time applicants may be required for an interview meaning the express service would not be available to them.

Passport application forms, immigration forms and additional guidance are available on the Government website.
