Public urged to observe silences

People are being urged to mark Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday this week.

Two-minute silences will be held at 11am on Friday and on Sunday, and the public's been asked to commemorate the occasion by observing the silences with motorists asked to pull over and turn their engines off.

The Island's national service of remembrance takes place on Sunday starting at 3pm in the Royal Chapel at St Johns.
