A test of the All Island Public Warning System will take place this morning.
The sirens - around 31 sites across the Island will sound a steady note for 30 seconds at 11am.
If it were a real emergency the sound would continue for a further two and a half minutes.
The public are being reminded its just a routine test to make sure all is working properly.
