Ramsey's voted to keep track of its rundown buildings after a commissioners' meeting last night.
The board voted to set up a Public Ruinous Building Register, similar to one that's already in use in Douglas.
The list shows which buildings are in a poor state or require work.
The local authority will also follow the Island's capital in scrapping a policy where ruinous or dilapidated properties didn't pay rates.
