Ramsey man admits Taser offence

A Ramsey man has pleaded guilty to possessing a Taser style weapon following a raid at his home.

Police searched 24-year-old Jake Ford's house on December 17th where they found the mobile phone sized 'stun device' and a quantity of cocaine.

At Douglas Courthouse yesterday he pleaded guilty to possession of the Class A substance, which had a street value of between £100 and £140, and possession of a prohibited article.

The court heard he'd bought the device off the internet.

Social enquiry reports have been requested before Ford is sentenced on February 16th.
