An Island school has launched a petition as it looks to address the impact of single use plastics.
Ramsey Grammar School students are working to stop the sale of plastic bottled water, and are calling on the government for assistance to find a sustainable alternative.
The petition highlights the financial impact halting selling plastic bottles could have on the institution and is asking Chief Minister, Howard Quayle and fellow MHK's to aid them in its cause.
Conister Bank is already supporting the initiative by pledging 1200 reusable plastic flasks which are to be donated to the school.
