Rare Manx coins go under the hammer

Five Manx coins, described as some of the rarest modern coins in the world, will go under the hammer in the UK this week.

The coins were struck in 1992 for trial and calibration as changes were made to the Island's 10p pieces.

Only around 200 were ever made, and they can only be distinguished from normal Manx 10ps through tiny markings.

They'll be sold off to the highest bidder by RWB Auctions in Royal Wootton Bassett in Swindon tomorrow.
