The government says it’s seen record numbers of people using its specialist hydrotherapy pool after a £200,000 investment in it.
The facility near the Grandstand on Glencrutchery Road is mostly used by swimmers with disabilities or people having physical rehabilitation.
More than 350 children with learning disabilities from schools around the Island use the pool each week during term, with a six-week summer programme having been organised this year.
The money’s been spent on improvements like a new hoist, boiler and disinfection system.
