Port St Mary Commissioners has scrapped its kerbside recycling scheme with immediate effect.
The board announced the end of the scheme on its Facebook page earlier this week.
It's blaming a rise in contractor costs and a drop in the value of recyclables.
The commissioners have apologised for any inconvenience caused.
