Report shows government workforce rising again

A long-delayed report about the government workforce shows a net gain of 140 workers over the past two years.

The document from the Public Services Commission shows in total, there were 4,140 full-time equivalent staff last year.

    That's compared to 4,000 in 2023.

In the report, it says last year almost 300 staff - just over seven per cent - left, mainly due to voluntary resignation or retirement.
