Motorists are being urged to respect the current 10mph speed limit on the one-way system in place on Fishers Hill.
The Department of Infrastructure says the engineer in charge of the works there has reported several vehicles ignoring the restriction meaning some activities have had to stop to ensure the safety of workers.
Officials say the southbound carriageway has now been laid out, adding the second section will be laid from today and over the weekend.
The one-way system towards Port Erin has been in place since September 13 as contractors continue efforts to improve the ride quality on the stretch.
