An independent review carried out on the Island\'s high streets has called for a body of people to work together to develop a Douglas brand.
Retail expert Mary Portas carried out the review with the findings fed back into the Douglas Development Partnership.
Portas also propses a national market day, with her belief that markets are an effective way to bring a town to life, seen as a key source of retail innovation.
The review comes at a time where decisions are being made on how to breath life back into the Douglas high street, with extensive regeneration plans in place.
All suggestions made by the review are endeavoring to put the heart back into our high streets.
