Staff at five pubs in Ramsey are to receive RNLI training this week.
It's part of the organisations Waterside Responder Scheme, which trains personnel at businesses based next to bodies of water on how to use a rescue throwline and keep them on their premises in case of an emergency.
The training, equipment and maintenance is provided free of charge, with the RNLI hoping to approach other quayside businesses to join the initiative once this years TT concludes.
The project is part of the 'Respect the Water' campaign which aims to half the number of accidental drownings by 2024.
