The three Rushen MHK’s say they are still committed to having recreational facilities implemented into plans for the Ballakilley site.
The land, in the south of the Island, has been earmarked for a housing development - a decision which caused strong opposition.
Laurence Skelly, Phil Gawne and Juan Watterson had previously campaigned to have the vast majority of the land designated for recreational purposes but this was voted against in Tynwald.
Mr Gawne says although the move doesn’t surprise him he and his fellow representatives will make sure the developers know what the community wants to see:
