An Island man helping defuse bombs and landmines in Ukraine has been told he'll serve 14 years in prison if he's caught by the Russians.
Chris Garrett of Peel was convicted of terror charges by a Russian court in his absence because of his involvement in the war.
He's been defusing unexploded ordnance and training soldiers since Russia first annexed parts of Ukraine in 2014.
After hearing of the verdict by the court in Donetsk, he called it a 'pathetic attempt' to smear him by people who have murdered, raped and tortured civilians.
