Sacked minister describes department as 'political football'

Peter Karran has said his former department was used as a “political football” during his time as a government minister.

Chief Minister Allan Bell sacked Mr Karran on Wednesday after he took a stance against CoMin and their plans to invest £24 million into the film industry.

Mr Karran, who spent eight months as Education and Children Minister, said despite all that’s happened the important thing is the continued investment in the department.
