Scammers are targeting residents on the Isle of Man.
It comes follow reports of scammers using local IOM classified adverts.
As a result, Police are warning people not to pay a deposit or buy items unless they're certain it's genuine.
Authorities have issued tips such as checking to see if anyone knows who the seller is, if you have seen the item yourself, and if the number is withheld or off Island.
Anyone who thinks they have been affected by a scammer is asked to contact police immediately on 631212.
