Selfie sticks banned from Southern 100 race

Selfie sticks have been banned from this year's Southern 100 race meet.

Marshals flagged up concerns that the extendable sticks were becoming a distraction and hazard for the passing racers during the TT.

With this in mind a decision has been taken to impose an outright ban.
