Eddie Teare was in optimistic mood following a series of key meetings he attended along with the Chief Minister in London earlier this week.
The two took part in the recent CBI/Policy Exchange event, which launched a major report by the CBI on tax and British business.
The report highlighted the significant contribution business makes to the UK Exchequer, and the importance of tax competition to economic growth.
Minister Teare admitted that the Isle of Man is still trying to establish its identity as a transparent jurisdiction in the eyes of the UK, but added this report goes a long way to helping that (see audio).
