A memorial service to mark the 111th anniversary of the Ellan Vannin tragedy takes place next month.
The service will be in honour of the 21 crew and 14 passengers who lost their lives on December 3, 1909 when the ship sank as it approached Liverpool.
There will be a memorial service on West Quay in Ramsey at 6.30pm on Thursday, December 3.
In the event of poor weather however it will take place in the Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic Church on South Promenade
The format will be similar to previous years with a welcome from the Commissioners, a brief synopsis of what happened to the Ellan Vannin, the reading of the names of those who died and the laying of wreaths and prayers.
