A court’s heard a soldier who went AWOL from his unit in the UK will be collected by army police.
Jordan Brayford of Whiteridge Grove in Stoke on Trent appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 29 year old admitted being absent without leave from the Royal Logistics Corps barracks in Aldershot.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing police arrested Brayford at around 3pm on January 30 at the Ramsey Park Hotel in Ramsey.
The court heard representatives from the armed forces were planning to take Brayford into custody for his return to the UK.
There was no bail application and Mrs Hughes remanded him in custody until he could be handed over to military police.
