The estimated cost of disposing of waste in the north of the Island this year has risen by more than 20 per cent.
Ramsey Commissioner Juan McGuinness has shared a letter from the Department of Infrastructure setting out expected waste costs for the Northern Civic Amenity Site.

In the letter, the DOI says it initially expected local authorities to contribute £600,000 this year - but now calculates they'll have to find up to £750,000.
