An MHK has questioned whether a government scheme to give pensioners free TV licences is a good way to spend money.
Earlier today, the government said the scheme, which was due to close at the end of December, would now continue until the end of 2027.
Ramsey's Liberal Vannin MHK Lawrie Hooper took to X, formerly Twitter, to question the spending.
In his post, he asked whether the scheme - which he said would cost £850,000 a year - was a sensible use of taxpayers' money.
