    Skies clear for lunar eclipse tonight

    If skies are clear tonight, the Isle of Man will be treated to a partial eclipse of the moon.

    Shortly after 10.30pm the full moon will pass into the Earth’s shadow, giving what’s known as a penumbral lunar eclipse.

    Howard Parkin of the Isle of Man Astronomical Society says the effect will be at its peak around half an hour after midnight.

    And he says with clear weather forecast, there’s a good opportunity to see it:
