Snow brings problems for health and social care

The Department of Health and Social Care says its services are subject to significant disruption today because of snow.

All outpatient clinics at Noble’s Hospital have been postponed, and district nurses are only making urgent visits.

The self-referral physiotherapy clinic is closed and occupational therapy appointments for mental health service users have been cancelled.

Home Care Service are being prioritised for those with greatest need.

The department says anyone with radiology appointments at Noble’s will have them rescheduled if they can’t make it.

And the Children and Families Social Care team will be providing only emergency responses today.
