An Island society says species of a particular bird are on the decline.
The Manx Ornithological Society is looking for birdwatchers to keep a lookout for swifts from May to late August.
It's secretary, Janet Thompson, says the number of swifts are decreasing because of the loss of nesting sites, however this can be managed by providing nest boxes at sites where they know the creatures congregate.
The society says its looking for volunteers and help is available so you don't need to be an expert to join - anyone interested is invited to contact Janet at jthompson@manx.net or on 07624 428 953.
