Proposals have been put forward for a solar energy farm near Castletown.
Peel Cubico Renewables said the project could be operational by 2024 and power thousand homes- 5% of the Isle of Man's current electricity demand.
It would be built on 84 acres of land in Malew.
A spokesman from the company said the farm would help the Isle of Man take control over its long-term energy needs.
The public is invited to give feedback on the plans as part of a consultation which is running until November 13.
