Solution reached in Jackson concert and Rally clash

The Jackson Four concert and this year's Isle of Man Rally will no longer be going head to head.

It's been decided in order to avoid a clash that the music concert in September will still take place on the same night but inside the Royal Hall at the Villa Marina.

The original plan was to have it outdoors in the Villa Gardens - however this hit a snag when it was realised the opening rally stage was taking place outside on Harris Promenade.

The change presents a fresh challenge for the Villa Gaiety as we found out from MHK David Cretney:
