    Solway Harvester Inquest To Conclude.

The inquest into the deaths of the seven men who died on board the Solway Harvester will be held next month – nearly 9 years after the vessel sank off the Manx coast.

Their bodies were recovered from the wreck 11 miles off Ramsey.

The inquest opened after the Manx Government paid £1million to recover the bodies and the vessel from the seabed, but was adjourned for legal proceedings.

The boat’s owner Richard Gidney was acquitted of the manslaughter and refused to return to the Island to attend the coroner’s inquest.

It will now be held on the 8th November.
