A steam train on Island was damaged when a tree fell down in Ballabeg on New Year’s Eve.
In a statement from the DOI - officials say the incident caused damage to the windows on some carriages.
It happened on the dining train event, but no injuries were reported.
A spokesperson said a repair team were at the scene within 30 minutes of the incident, and removed the tree, before the train returned to Douglas.
This did lead to the cancellation of the first two brunch trains of 2023 and the magicians tea party will be moved to the ticket hall.
Customers hit by the cancellations and amendments are being contacted directly.
