Manx students will be able to return home despite the national lockdown for England which came into force today.
During today's weekly Covid-19 briefing from government, Education, Sport & Culture Minister, Dr Alex Allinson, says the assurances have been made following discussions with the Ministry of Justice in the UK.
However, Dr Allinson has stressed students will not be able to move back and forward between university and home during the festive season.
He adds the process to return home remains the same by having to fill in a landing form before travelling, and is advising students to keep a hard copy of this on them on their journey back.
