A Sugar tax will be introduced on Island from April.
Treasury Minister Alf Cannan revealed the news yesterday, as he delivered the 2019 Budget in Tynwald.
It's thought income from the Soft Drinks Industry Levy is estimated to be worth £300,000 for the upcoming year.
In the 2019/2020 budget the Minister confirm the levy will be introduced to reduce childhood obesity, promote breastfeeding and improve oral health.
