A woman’s been given a suspended prison sentence after taking a cocktail of drink and drugs before struggling with police.
Kimberley Cherianne Collister of Royal Avenue West in Onchan appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
She admitted being drunk and disorderly, resisting police and assaulting an officer.
Prosecutor Barry Swain said members of the public called police after spotting her semi-conscious and drooling on herself outside a takeaway on Wavereley Terrace at 2.30pm on Saturday, March 30.
She’d been drinking and had also taken cocaine and valium – in her handbag officers found diazepam and pregabalin.
She refused to be treated by an ambulance crew and kicked a police officer as she was arrested for her own safety.
Magistrates jailed her for a total of 32 weeks, suspended for 12 months, and ordered her to pay £50 costs.
