Teddy bears used for money laundering, court hears

A man tried to send thousands of pounds off the Island stuffed in teddy bears.

38 year old Christopher Paul Cowin of Peel Road in Douglas took a package to FCX at Ronaldsway on June 11, claiming it contained teddy bears and books.

Suspicious staff found £3,200 inside - Cowin has pleaded guilty to sending criminal cash.

He was committed to the Court of General Gaol Delivery to be sentenced and bailed until he appears there on a date to be set.
